THE NEXU5
THE NEXU5 is first and foremost its own comic series, which mainly revolves around the characters Lorian, Jade and Snakebyte, who are gifted gamers in the virtual universe THE NEXU5. However, besides the comic series, there is also a collection of 8,888 unique avatars.
These avatars are not NFTs that just sit in your wallet, but can compete against other avatar owners in 1v1 battles in a connected game. There are 5 different factions, 3 different rarity levels and 4 different classes like Assassin or Cyberpriest.
Holders also own the commercial rights to the avatars - with one minor exception, which are the "OUTSIDERS", as these appear in the actual comic and are therefore the exclusive property of ENCODE Graphics.
THE NEXU5 represents a very special project by ENCODE Graphics, developed together with Meta-Tree Development. The focus is on a high quality of art, representing the NFT scene and the metaverse in many facets. The interesting thing about THE NEXU5 is that it is not just a collection of 8,888 avatars, but actually an ongoing comic series set in a particular metaverse. At the same time, we've developed a game that let you fight with you avatars against other holders!
The 8,888 avatars have a wide range of different traits, clothes and other accessories; they have different rarities and last but not least, a look that definitely makes them stand out!
The avatars are divided into 5 factions. Each faction has its own characteristics and these have different limitations. While most of the avatars belong to the „Faction of Gamers“ and come in male and female versions, „The Outsiders“ play a very special role - there are only 28 of these legendary avatars and they are actually a part of the comic series. With these special OUTSIDERS you will be able to get UNIQUE physical copy of THE NEXU5 #1 with your avatar as front cover!
The comic series THE NEXU5 is masterfully realized by comic artist Marcos Ramos and has a number of well-known guest artists who have already made a name for themselves in the comic scene. Join the 3 main characters "Lorian, Jade and Snakebyte" on their exciting journey through the metaverse of the same name. The outline for the first storyline, which spans 3 issues, cab be described as follows:
A professional VR gamer makes a deal to rescue a billionaire’s daughter in exchange for a better life and discovers that the kidnapper is a dangerous hacker planning to attack the entire the whole Metaverse and so a myriad of people in the real world.
Game
The game for THE NEXU5 can be described in short words as a fighting game where the avatars have 4 different classes... Soldiers... Cyberpriests... Assassins... Hackers. Each class has certain basic stats that can be increased through level-ups. At the same time, all classes have different abilities that they can use in the course of a battle, and new and stronger weapons are unlocked with higher levels.
The game itself was intentionally kept a bit more minimalistic in terms of graphics in order to focus on the avatars. Nevertheless, this does not detract from the fun of the game. We will go live with the game when we have reached our UNLOCK GOAL.
Undeniably, THE NEXU5 is a work of art on its own. The avatars and the comics are only one part - another essential part is the game. This has already been developed and is just waiting to be "unlocked". As soon as we reach the goal of 2,500 public sales, PHASE 1 will start.
The game itself was intentionally kept very minimalistic, because the focus is really on the avatars. In the following we want to give you a deeper insight into the mechanics and an outlook on future implementations.
THE GAME IN A NUTSHELL
In THE NEXU5 the avatars are in the foreground and you minted not only a PFP, but a unique character that belongs to a certain faction. Furthermore, this character has a token ID, a certain rarity, a type and a class. You even can sell your leveled avatar with all the experience points as time is also a valuable resource.
Within the game you can engage other players and their avatars in turn-based combat, bringing weapons and class-based skills to bear against your opponent. The success of your actions will depend on the roll of a die (and possible interference of your opponent). You’re not completely left in the hands of fate however as your chances will rise when increasing your stats through leveling.
